Welcome!
Beads of Change (Kenya) is a women's socioeconomic initiative which seeks to give women entrepreneurs who are living in Kibera, the largest urban slum in Nairobi, Kenya, access to the resources they need to conceptualise, fund and implement their small commercial projects. The overall goal is for the entrepreneurs we work with gain stronger financial and social stability whilst also providing an avenue for other stakeholders - microlenders, suppliers of materials and other service providers to engage with driven and innovative women who are otherwise marginalised from the official economy.
This blog will engage with the audience of Beads of Change in order to reflect on the initiative, its achievements and obstacles, to promote the work of the women we support and for them to have a platform to share their views with our audience and lastly as a forum to hear from our audience about the issues that matter to them.
